Sustainability Retreat

The Abbey Food Service Group is working on a Sustainability Plan. On May 2, 2012 part of our Abbey family went to Shelburne Farms for a sustainability retreat. The day was very eventful. We talked about our sustainability vision for our company and came up with a plan to make it happen. Shortly, we will have in place our sustainability plan. The Veggie of the Month Project

The Abbey Group has teamed up with Windham County Farm-to-School  and number of other community partners to bring you the Veggie of the Month! We will collectively celebrate one in-season vegetable each month!

Our Mission is to increase the visibility, consumption and purchase of regionally and seasonally available fresh fruits and vegetables at all food access points. Our Strategy is to build a comprehensive, streamlined, collaborative marketing project that develops materials that celebrate and market a specific chosen vegetable every month, one that is in-season, delicious, and locally available.
